I had the incredible privilege of growing up on the south coast of Massachusetts on my family’s cranberry, dairy and Clydesdale farm (EastOver Farm). Constantly surrounded by animals, I developed a strong work ethic and a deep passion for helping them from a very young age – thanks to my early exposure to the agricultural world.
As soon as I was able to work, I immersed myself in equine, small-animal, and emergency medicine. My path to following my dreams led me to UMass-Amherst, where I completed my undergraduate degree. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Sciences, I moved to Blacksburg, VA, to attend the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where I received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
From there my career began in Richmond, VA where I worked at a busy, small-animal practice for several years before meeting my wife, Sandy, and moving to Maryland. Once settled in Maryland, I continued to grow my skills in surgery, dentistry and internal medicine through positions in emergency, urgent care and general practice.
During this time, I began to notice recurring issues in the industry that were never effectively addressed. This sparked my desire to instigate real, transformational changes in the field I love, which became my driving force. It was then that Sandy and I started the process of creating EastOver Vet.
After many years of searching for the right location, we discovered the Woodbine community and immediately fell in love. We are incredibly grateful to start our business in this place we now call home and can’t wait to welcome you to EastOver Vet.
