Surgical procedures, although a daunting prospect for pet owners, are often a necessary part of your pet’s health care plan.
At EastOver Vet, we understand that your pet is an important member of your family, and we treat every patient with the compassion and care they deserve. Our state-of-the-art surgical facilities are fully equipped to handle all types of surgery, from routine to more advanced and complex procedures. Prior to surgery, we make sure you understand all of your pet’s medical and surgical options and all pets are carefully screened to be sure they are healthy for anesthesia. We tailor all anesthetics specifically to each pet and carefully monitor every pet during and after surgery.
Surgical procedures performed by us include:
- Spay and neuter surgery
- Emergency surgery (laceration repair, wound repair, foreign object removal, splenectomy)
- Soft tissue/general surgery (i.e., growth removal)
- Dental Surgery
Anesthesia and Patient Monitoring
We utilize the safest, multi-modal anesthesia techniques available and provide the same level of patient monitoring that you would receive if you were having surgery. During surgery, we monitor all of your pet’s vital signs with state of the art equipment as well as manual techniques.
We require pre-surgical blood work on all patients so we can evaluate your pet’s kidney, liver and heart function prior to undergoing anesthesia.
Pain Management
Your pet’s pain relief is our top priority and we will tailor a unique pain medication plan to be sure your pet has minimal pain before, during and after their surgery. We utilize multiple therapies to control pain so that your pet is as comfortable as possible.
